Tips & Tricks for Making One-Pan Steak Bites & Sweet Potatoes
Use a well-seasoned cast-iron pan
There's nothing worse than having food stick to the pan! I love using cast iron or enamel cast iron for meals like this.
Let the steak come to room temperature
You never want to put a cold steak in a pan! Let it sit on the counter for a bit so it's not ice cold.
Use a sweet potato of your choice
I used regular orange sweet potato for this recipe, but feel free to use your favorite variety!
The Ingredients for One Pan Steak Bites & Sweet Potatoes
Sirloin steak
This is my favorite for meals like this, but NY strip or ribeye would also be a good choice.
Sweet potato
I find that keeping them unpeeled is best. Use whichever variety you prefer, and just be aware of cook time.
Garlic, parsley, coconut aminos & avocado oil (or ghee)
The coconut aminos is mostly for flavor, so you can omit if you have a sensitivity. You can also swap ghee for avocado oil for AIP.
